Sam joined Interel as a Consultant in May 2011. He supports the rest of the team on a wide variety of issues including health, financial services and sustainable development. Previously, he was an Account Executive at Portcullis Public Affairs where he specialised in health and transport issues. He has also spent time at Grayling and the law firm DLA Piper’s Government Affairs section.
Outside of public affairs, Sam has experience of working within the civil service having spent time at the Ministry of Justice and Department of Health where he worked as both a Campaigns Officer and as Office Manager to Baroness Thornton during her time at the Department.
Sam has a Masters in International Security from the University of St. Andrews and a degree in American Studies from Keele University. As part of his degree programme, Sam spent a semester at the University of Ottawa, Canada. In 2007, he was also part of the inaugural cohort of the Government sponsored Chinese language school programme that took place in Beijing.
